This is the beginning of a project: a blog about fashion that takes a different approach–one not unlike journalist Michael Pollan’s perspective on food, which is to say, holistic and with a healthy respect, but also with, well, hunger.
I love clothes. I love to read about them, look at them, shop for them, try them on, sometimes even make them, and wear them. I’m curious about where they come from, what they’re made of, and who made them. Sometimes that information can make clothes less desirable, and then I have the power to make an informed choice (and save my money for something better). Other times, knowing an item’s story makes it all the more special, and valuable.
This project is still a work in progress, a process if you will, sort of like gathering string.
